Selected project

AF Photographe, a wedding photographer’s website, built around his images.

The project

Adnan Fahd photographs weddings in Paris and the surrounding region. I am redesigning his website: visual language, journey and development. This presentation focuses on that interface work, from the mark drawing itself at the opening to the contact letter.

01

The monogram.

The AF initials meet in one continuous line. At the opening, the animation reveals the mark before the page. The retained research boards show other emblem and stamp directions; they remain distinct from the version used on the website.

02

An editorial identity.

MonteCarlo carries large titles, PP Editorial New supports editorial passages and italics, and Inter Display handles controls. Beau Rivage appears sparingly. Hierarchy separates those registers: an introduction, an approach to read and a button do not need to speak in the same way.

03

Writing to Adnan.

Getting in touch takes the form of a letter to Adnan. Fields sit within the sentences, keeping the enquiry in the website’s tone while gathering the details the photographer needs. The opening, wedding stories, approach and this final action form the journey of the ongoing redesign.
