The project
For Les Jardins d’Esther in Nancy, I created the logo before the restaurant’s arches. The mark’s three shapes were then carried into the space. My work includes the identity, menus, launch invitation, content and photography.
01
The mark, then the space.
The logo came first. Its three openings were then carried into the arches behind the counter. The photographs show that move from drawing to space: part of the identity takes physical form. I designed the mark; the restaurant’s designers carried out the architecture and interiors.
02
The mark and the colours.
The mark is accompanied by plum, dusty pink, powder, night and paper. Playfair Display and Raleway form the identity’s typography. The logo can stand alone, sit beside the name or appear in white on plum; those variations allow it to work across very different formats.

03
The menu and the invitation.
The menu brings the identity to the table through its cover and section hierarchy. For the launch on 21 June 2023, the invitation takes the form of a boarding pass: a name, a date, a destination. The same colours connect both pieces, each with a layout suited to what it announces or helps people read.
04
The place, in pictures.
I photographed the restaurant and its details: tables, the counter, dishes and cocktails. The images show the identity in use beside the space’s materials, objects and light.
